In class this week and into the beginning of next week, we have a challenge on our hands! We are translating Jefferson's words into our own. Some students say that the vocabulary and language that Jefferson used in the D. of I. is like a foreign language. We are creating a flip book with pictures and our own words to meet the standard (85%). In addition to the flip book, students are crafting well organized paragraphs that simplify Jefferson's language while retaining the tone to exceed the standard (90%-100%). This project is worth 20 points and is due by the end of the day on Monday November 7th. See attachment below for standards.
