Peer pressure and spending on campus

Arriving on campus is an exciting time, with new friends to meet and new things to experience. Pressure can sneak up on you. Want to go to dinner? How about a movie?

Before you know it, you’ve blown your budget.

Overspending is an easy choice, but even if you have the money at the time, should you do it? As with everything in life, moderation is the best policy.

Of course you can eat out, but also make plans to stay in and do a little of both. Want to take a vacation? Plan for it and make it one of your financial goals.

Be a good friend by setting the best financial example for others. Raise the bar high and show that having fun is all about being reasonable with your spending.
