FASFSA expected to go mobile in 2018

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is expectedt to get a makeover in April, making the fafsa.ed.gov website mobile and tablet friendly, according to Inside Higher Ed. The change was announced during the 2017 Federal Student Aid conference. Read more here.

Also announced at the 2017 conference was the proposed Federal Student Aid app, allowing students to fill out the FAFSA on a phone, manage loans and check their credit score. Ben Barrett of the public policy think tank New America, tweeted some screen shots of the new app, designed to list colleges to select for sending the FAFSA, offers a look at a student's credit score and would immediately show an applicant the expected family contribution and estimated Pell Grant award.
