“Educational portfolios are a standard part of the promotion process for many schools. This article summaries the great variety that characterizes these documentation systems. It is a bit dated but the basic models are largely unchanged and can provide both a context for examining the problem of making promotion and advancement decisions but also examples for creating a new system.”
