Summary

The Knox neurobiology lab is primarily concerned with elucidating neurobiological mechanisms of emotional learning and memory. We are currently examining neurobiological mechanisms via which stress can disrupt extinction memory, sex differences in stress susceptibility, and trying to show how basal forebrain cholinergic neurons fit into fear and extinction circuits.
