Educational Trip Requests

Any parent/guardian desiring to have their child excused for an educational trip must complete a request at least two weeks prior to the planned trip. Educational Trip Request forms are available in the office of each school or on the District’s website.

Forms should be submitted to the student’s respective school building office.  Parents/guardians are reminded to not plan trips/tours during the District’s standardized testing period and the state’s testing periods.

Educational trips should provide experiences that would supplement the school’s educational program. Each request will be reviewed by a building administrator prior to approval. The administrator will take the following into consideration prior to recommendation for approval by the Superintendent: the student’s academic standing; the student’s attendance record; the student’s disciplinary record; etc.

Administration has the right to deny requests for reasons such as, but not limited to: standardized testing dates, ineligibility, attendance issues, length of trip, etc.
