The Tri-Valley School District 4K program schedule is a modified full-day format.

All 4K students will follow the same daily calendar as those in grades K-6 with a reduced school day.

4-Year-Old Kindergarten Enrollment Eligibility for Fall 2026

Children are eligible to enroll in 4K if they turn 4 on or before August 15, 2026.

Birthdate Range:

Eligible Birthdates: August 16, 2021, to August 15, 2022.
Note: Children who are older than the above range are eligible for 5-Year-Old Kindergarten enrollment.

Tri-Valley School District 4K Program Registration

Dear Tri-Valley School District Community,

We are thrilled to announce registration opening for the 4-year-old Kindergarten (4K) program at the Hegins-Hubley Elementary building. The 4K initiative has represented a significant milestone in our commitment to providing comprehensive and inclusive educational opportunities for our youngest learners.

We wanted to take a moment to share with you some key details about our 2026-27 school year 4K program:

NEW THIS YEAR: A 4K Screening Event for the 2026/2027 school term will be held on April 15, 2026, between the hours of 8:30AM and 3:00PM at the Hegins-Hubley Elementary School, 1801 W Main St, Valley View, PA, 17983. Students from all townships will be screened at this one location on the above date.

Eligibility: The program is open to children who turn four (4) years old on or before August 15th. Children who are age eligible for the District’s 5-year-old kindergarten are not eligible for the 4K program. The 4K program is open to children residing within the Tri-Valley School District's boundaries.

Program Start Date: The 4K program follows the same attendance calendar as grades K-12. The first day of the 2026-27 school year is tentatively set for Thursday, August 20, 2026.

Program Start/End Times: The Tri-Valley School District 4K program schedule is a modified full-day format. All 4K students will follow the same daily calendar as those in grades K-6 with a reduced school day.

Start/End Times are anticipated to be as follows:

Instruction 9:00A-1:15P

Parent Pick-Up 1:15P-1:30P

Due to program availability, space in the program will again be limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Enroll early to secure your child's spot in the 4K program.

Through engaging activities, interactive play, and hands-on learning experiences, we aim to lay a strong foundation for future academic success.

All involved will bring a wealth of expertise in early childhood education and are committed to fostering a love for learning in each and every student.

Safe and Nurturing Environment: The safety and well-being of our students are our top priorities. Our 4K classroom is equipped with age-appropriate furnishings and materials, ensuring a safe and comfortable space where children can explore, play, and learn with confidence.

Collaborative Partnership: We recognize that parents and guardians play a crucial role in their child's educational journey. That's why we value open communication and encourage active participation from families in their child's 4K experience. Together, we can support and empower our young learners to reach their full potential.

Enrollment Information: Registration information is provided below. Space in the program is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Enroll early to secure your child's spot in the 4K program.

Important Notes:

Transportation Information: Transportation is not provided for the 4K Program. Parents/Guardians are responsible for transportation to/from the program.

Compulsory School Age: Through the enactment of Act 16, the definition of compulsory school age was changed to “the period of a child’s life from the time the child’s parents elect to have the child enter school and which shall be no later than 6 years of age until the child reaches 18 years of age. The term does not include a child who holds a certificate of graduation from a regularly accredited, licensed, registered or approved high school.” 24 P.S. §13-1326.

Step 1: Pre-Registration

- Complete and submit the required information on the electronic pre-registration form. BE SURE TO CHOOSE ENTRY YEAR 2026-2027 AND THE PREFILLED START DATE OF **8/10/2026. **THIS IS A GENERIC DATE FOR OUR SYSTEM TO START, NOT THE STUDENT'S ACTUAL START DATE.
Upon successful completion of the pre-registration form:

* If you do not currently have a PowerSchool Parent Portal account, you will receive an email from poweraccount@tvdawgs.net containing your login credentials. Please allow 2-3 business days to receive the email.

* If you already possess a PowerSchool Parent Portal account, the child you are registering for kindergarten will be added to your existing account. In this case, you will receive an email notifying you that the child has been successfully added to your account. Please allow 2-3 business days to receive the email.

Please remember to keep your login credentials secure and avoid sharing them with others. Protecting your account information is essential for safeguarding your student's data and privacy.

Step 2: Online Enrollment

After you have been notified that your account is set up, please refer to the directions HERE to complete registration forms and submit necessary documents via our online PowerSchool system. https://tinyurl.com/4hcxey6x

Parents are requested to provide the child's Birth Certificate (proof of age*), two (2) forms of proof of residency, and proof of immunization records* prior to the registration event. State law requires exact dates and written proof of immunizations from a physician. Written proof must contain the physician’s letterhead or be authorized by the physician’s office. All immunizations must be completed before the first day of school. Pennsylvania Law requires all new school entrants in this state to be immunized against certain communicable diseases. Immunization requirements for entering school can be found HERE.

* Proof of the child's age

Any one of the following constitutes acceptable documentation: birth certificate; notarized copy of birth certificate; baptismal certificate; copy of the record of baptism – notarized or duly certified and showing the date of birth; notarized statement from the parents or another relative indicating the date of birth; a valid passport; a prior school record indicating the date of birth.

* Immunizations required by law

Acceptable documentation includes: either the child’s immunization record, a written statement from the former school district or from a medical office that the required immunizations have been administered, or that a required series is in progress, or verbal assurances from the former school district or a medical office that the required immunizations have been completed, with records to follow.

Step 3: 4K Screening Event Appointment

4K Screening Event is scheduled from 8:30AM until 3:00PM with individual appointments scheduled in 10-minute intervals.
Appointments for the Screening Event are made on a first come, first served basis.
In order receive an appointment, you must have successfully submitted your child’s complete enrollment forms and all necessary documents. Failure to do so may delay processing of your request for an appointment.
Within 2-3 business days of successful completion of enrollment forms and submission of all necessary documents, you will receive directions on how to schedule an appointment.

Step 4: Attend the 4K Screening Event

On the day of your appointment, you and your child are requested to arrive at the Hegins-Hubley Elementary School lobby at your scheduled appointment time.
Only the child being registered, and no more than two accompanying adults, will be permitted in the building for the appointment.

Late arrivals may result in a request to return at another time and/or date.
In the event of overcrowding or if other safety concerns arise, families may be requested to wait in their vehicle or return on another date and/or time.

Step 5: Confirmation of Enrollment

Those who complete the registration process, including submitting all necessary forms and documents, will be contacted to confirm enrollment on a first-come, first-served basis. Enrollment confirmations will occur within 45 Business Days after the 4K Screening Event is held. All families, regardless of enrollment status, will be contacted.
