We are thrilled to introduce a 4K program to the Tri-Valley School District and hope you share our excitement. The "Class of 2038" will be the first to embark on their educational journey with this new program, marking a significant milestone for our District. Despite not receiving the pre-school grant funding/programming we had hoped for, the District remains committed to creating and offering an in-house program because we believe it is in the best interest of our community. While we acknowledge that the structure of the current half-day 4K program may not align with everyone's preferences, it enables the District the opportunity to reach as many children as possible. As we roll out this exciting initiative, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding during this inaugural year. We are confident that this program will greatly benefit our children and community, and we look forward to working together to ensure a successful start for all.

Tri-Valley School District Welcomes an Exciting NEW 4K Program

Dear Tri-Valley School District Community,

We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to our educational offerings: the introduction of a half-day 4-year-old Kindergarten (4K) program at the Hegins-Hubley Elementary building. This exciting initiative represents a significant milestone in our commitment to providing comprehensive and inclusive educational opportunities for our youngest learners.

As we embrace this new chapter, we wanted to take a moment to share with you some key details about our 4K program:

Eligibility: The program is open to children who turn four (4) years old on or before August 15th. Children who are age eligible for the District’s 5-year-old kindergarten are not eligible for the 4K program. The 4K program is open to children residing within the Tri-Valley School District's boundaries.

Early Learning Excellence: Our 4K curriculum is thoughtfully designed to nurture the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of children age 4. Through engaging activities, interactive play, and hands-on learning experiences, we aim to lay a strong foundation for future academic success.

Qualified and Caring Educators: Our 4K teacher is a highly trained professional who is dedicated to creating a supportive and stimulating learning environment for every child. All involved will bring a wealth of expertise in early childhood education and are committed to fostering a love for learning in each and every student.

Safe and Nurturing Environment: The safety and well-being of our students are our top priorities. Our 4K classroom is equipped with age-appropriate furnishings and materials, ensuring a safe and comfortable space where children can explore, play, and learn with confidence.

Collaborative Partnership: We recognize that parents and guardians play a crucial role in their child's educational journey. That's why we value open communication and encourage active participation from families in their child's 4K experience. Together, we can support and empower our young learners to reach their full potential.

Enrollment Information: Registration information is provided below. The program consists of two half-day sessions, and the limited slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. As long as space is available, parents may choose which session time that best suits their needs upon confirmation of enrollment. Session assignments will be for the entire school year.

We are incredibly excited about the opportunities that our 4K program will bring to the Tri-Valley School District community. By investing in early childhood education, we are laying the groundwork for a brighter future for our children and our community as a whole.

Thank you for your continued support as we embark on this journey together.

Sincerely,

Matthew J. Horoschak

Superintendent

Tri-Valley School District
