Tool-dough
Use play dough and play tools to imprint, push, pull-out, and mold.
Kid Crane
Use plastic pliers to sort cubes. Use plastic pliers to sort pattern blocks.
Build A City
Place “shape” building pieces in the appropriate place in the city.
Contractor and Builder
Students will be given a ‘Wendy ’ or ‘Bob’ letter card. Match each “Wendy”/ uppercase letter card with its “Bob the Builder” /lowercase letter card to make partners. Alphabet Brick Building folder- students will sequence letters A-L, capital to capital letter matching A-L, capital to lowercase letter matching A-L.
Alternative ideas with game:
Say the sound of each letter once a match is made.
Say a word that begins with each letter
Puppet Show (oral conversation) between Wendy & Bob
Bubble Conversation (written conversation) between Wendy & Bob
Sort, Count, & Pattern Wendy and Bob
Tool Time
The teacher will make a toolbox. The teacher will read a different book each day (total of 6 books).The teacher will discuss tool, its color and use with the students.
The student will name the tool, then give its color and use. The teacher will also read The Tool Kit and Tools.

As the teacher calls, the student identifies the name and the use.
