Five Little Monkeys

Activities:

All activities are aligned with VA approved standards and can be used with students in grades Pre-K through High School.

  • You can have the child hang them from 1-12 or reverse.

  • You can have the child find numbers you call out.

  • Make number dice with 1-6 and 7-12 numbers on them, so you can roll and hang what the dice say, smallest number first or visa-versa.

• Monkey Patterns - Match the monkey tiles to the patterns on the Pattern Board.

Pattern Options:

• • Practice identifying the pattern created (AB, AABB, ABC, etc.)

  • Extend the pattern to find out what comes next.

  • Create your own patterns.

• Interactive Spinner Games

• Monkey Talk:

  • Ask the students how many monkeys will be left next?

  • How many monkeys are being taken away each time?

  • What is a number that is less than ___?

• Assistive Technology/AAC devices:

  •  Use the GoTalk 9+ with your students.  Overlays for Setting/Main Character & Comprehension boards are included.
