Practicum
Master of Science in Psychology students in the Addictions concentration complete the practicum hours as part of the degree requirements. This allows you to obtain valuable experience in the field.
The practicum process involves:
Completing an email orientation for practicum placement
Seeking out and securing a location for your rotation
The Purdue Global Clinical Placement team will guide and support you through the process of contacting and finalizing your site
Completion of hours during your practicum course.
Application
You must apply for your practicum three to six months before your practicum term. Please contact your Advisor for instructions to set up your account in CORE ELMS, where you will keep track of everything related to practicum.
Practicum Requirements
Students enrolled in the Masters of Psychology Addictions specialization program or certificate will be required to complete 300 practicum hours to fulfill the requirement of the program during PS535 & PS536.
Connect with the clinical placement team to discuss your options and the process of seeking and securing a placement for the rotation at clinical@purdueglobal.edu.
Students who take the course must seek and secure placement prior to receiving registration approval for the course, and you must start this process now to have time to complete the process.
