    • SHM Quiz Key - note that the problem says that t = 0 is when the jumper is at the negative amplitude (we usually start t = 0 at the positive amplitude).  If you didn't read it that closely, you would get the other value (the not circled value) I have in the key for question C.  I probably wouldn't take this off on a test - it isn't really the point of the problem to do it this way.  You can safely assume that in all problems t=0 is started from the positive maximum amplitude.
