Well Friends,
Ready or not here comes Fall! Hawktoberfest was a huge success both financially and as a community builder. Thank you 100X over to all the people who planned and executed such a great event. Now we are gearing up for the 5K coming on November 12th. The 5K is important to us because it raises the money for our Think Pads. We now have 6th and 7th graders using Think Pads and they are loving it. We have a meeting Sunday if you are interested in helping. Thanks to all the care we took to improve our infrastructure before purchasing all our electronics, we have very little trouble with being online and using our devices at the same time. A big thanks To Mrs. Rosellini and Gus for all their work behind the scenes. Our Preschoolers just finished a unit on Apples so ask them anything about how to eat them, where we get them or who Johnny Appleseed is and you will be amazed. 3rd grade just finished studying the life cycle of insects so that should make for interesting dinner table discussions. Our second graders and 8th graders have begun to pair up as Sacramental Buddies and have begun the process to receive the most important sacraments of Reconciliation, Confirmation and Communion. Homecoming is happening next weekend and begins with the ever popular bonfire on Thursday night, followed by the dance on Friday and the big game on Saturday! Hope to see you there. October is a busy month. We start a new food vendor for our hot lunch program so be on the lookout for happier students when they talk about lunch. I would like to encourage everyone with children in grades 4-8 to talk to their child about participating in the Living Rosary on Tuesday, October 18th in church at 6:30. I think it will be a wonderful opportunity for our families to pray together. Forms went home earlier in the week but if you lost it we have them on Going Green! To make sure you and your child don't miss anything this month make sure you check the Google Calendar on the website often.
