Well the 19-20 school year is off to a great start! Our new teachers and new students are fitting in nicely. We completed a week of safety drills this week and everyone did a super job. The students took it very seriously and I was proud of them all. Chalktoberfest was another big success. It is always so much fun to watch the families creating such beautiful works of art and being out together as a community. This year we are spending some extra time talking to the students about character education. We began the year reinforcing the importance of respect. Respect for self, each other, and our environment. Each day one of our students reminds us how we can show respect to all. Simple acts like saying hello or good morning, holding a door for someone, paying attention in class, picking up after yourself at lunch are all ways of showing respect. It has been delightful to walk the halls this year and be greeted with a smile and a hello from everyone. Keep up the good works Hawks!!! Looking forward to seeing everyone at Hawktoberfest this weekend. This is one of my favorite events here at St. Linus so you don't want to miss it! Have a great weekend!
