UI Overview

SmartOI Terminal is divided into four main areas such as Menu&Toolbar, Environment bar, View, and Analysis bar.

Configure testing environment

• • Menu -> Interface

    • Configure SmartOI Terminal's interface with IFM and Host Simulator.

  • Menu -> Test Profile

    • Configure SmartOI Terminal's testing environment values such as RID, AID, CAPK, ICS, and Profile.

Set testing environment

In the environment bar, you can set testing environment you are going to use for chip-card transaction.

• • Environment bar -> Interface

    • Set interface such as IFM, Host Simulator.

  • Environment bar -> Test Profile

    • Set appropriate ICS and Profile for transaction.

  • Environment bar -> Transaction

    • Set appropriate options for transaction.

  • Environment bar -> Option

    • Set other options.

Run

In the transaction toolbar, two buttons exist for start and stop transaction functionalities.

Start button is enabled when chip card inserted into IFM successfully.

Start chip-card transaction by pressing this button or by using accelerator key combination (Ctrl+T).

Stop button is enabled after chip-card transaction started.

You can stop transaction at any time by pressing this button or by using accelerator key combination (Ctrl+P).

There may be any delay between issuing stop command and stopped transaction.

When transaction goes without user stop and finishes, it automatically goes into the stoped state and ready to start state.

While transaction running, details of transaction are displayed in Summary View and reflects terminal behavior instantly.

When transaction finishes, all DE values are displayed in DE VIew, all Commands exchanged between terminal and chip-card are displayed in Command View, and ICS & Profile information used for the transaction are also displayed in ICS & Profile View. And, Transaction Result is displayed at the end of Summary View automatically.

Transaction Result

At the end of Summary View, Transaction Result is displayed with the following information.

• • Return Code - Value of return code from SmartOI L2 Kernel module.

  • TVR - Terminal Verification Result

  • TSI - Transaction Status Information

  • Result - Approved/Declined

• Receipt

  • • AID

    • Application PAN

    • Transaction Date

    • Transaction Time

    • Amount, Authorized

    • Signature if the selected CVM was signature

Analyze

View consists of the following 5 sub-views.

• • Summary View - show details of transaction

  • DE View - show all DE values for the transaction

  • Command View - show all commands exchanged between terminal and chip-card.

  • ICS View - show ICS information used for the transaction

  • Profile View - show Profile information used for the transaction

Analyze transaction details through Summary, DE, and Command View, and refer ICS & Profile View when you necessary.

More detailed analysis for the selected data in the Summary, DE, and Command View are possible through the Analysis bar.

Just select data you want to know more, then the Analysis bar shows you more detailed interpretation for the data you've selected.
