The date of April 1 for the SVTU Fly Fishing Tournament has run into numerous conflicting events. Therefore, our Chapter has voted to move the Tournament date.
Our Committee has also approved several changes that will not only lessen our dependability upon the fishing communities’ suppliers, but make the event more exciting and stimulate more interest for the participating anglers.
The main change is that the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be cash.
1st Prize: $1,000 .
2nd place team will receive $800
3rd place will garner a $500 prize.
The SVTU Chapter will also offer several levels of raffles as additional fund raising opportunities to support our TIC program and the stocking of the South River.
In changing the dates it is our hope that you and your chapter members will be available to either assist us with the event or provide participating anglers. Further reminders and updated information about the SVTU Fly Fishing Tournament will be sent to you periodically throughout the months between now and November.
