Promoting Your Course

My tag line is Computer Science - Changing the World One Bit at a Time. I get in front of prospective students and parents whenever I can and this tag line represents the theme of my talks. I talk about why CS is important regardless of the career path you are on AND regardless of the school you choose... but if you want the BEST program, choose my school. :-)

Here are some presentations and links I have used at various events.

AP Night (2015/16) - We host a night for academically oriented students and their parents to try and convince them to choose our school. This Prezi goes along with a 5ish minute presentation that I supplement with as many anecdotes as I can fit in.

Open House Prezi (2015/16)

IB Night Prezi (2014/15) - This Prezi goes along with a 15ish minute presentation that I supplement with lots of anecdotes.

Medicine and Computer Science - This link is an eye opener for a lot of parents. It drives home the benefits of CS to students looking at medicine as a career.

I.T. Skills Shortage - Here is a link to a recent Canadian news story but you will not have trouble finding similar articles in any jurisdiction.

One Million Lines of Code - It's just a car, right?
