Piano Lab
Course Description
Piano Lab is a performance-based course, where students will develop musical skills through performance on piano with a classroom set of digital keyboards. The curriculum and pace is tailored to each individual student, so anyone from a complete beginner to an advanced pianist can join this class. The class structure consists of practicing the piano every day, one-on-one lessons, written theory pages, and performance assessments. Students will not perform at concerts with the other performance ensembles but will have the opportunity to participate in Solo/Ensemble Festival, if interested. Students can also learn sheet music and chords beyond the class method book that is available in the classroom or brought from home. This class can be taken during first or second semester and as many times as the student wishes.
