MATH PLACEMENT ASSESSMENT
Out-of-District Students: A Math Placement Assessment is required for incoming students, grades 9-12, entering from outside the district. Complete this FORM to sign up.

Take the math placement assessment before meeting with a counselor at the Mustang Commons during registration nights.
There will be a second placement test date at the end of summer (late July/early August) when students have another opportunity to meet with their counselors. Students/families will get that notification about "Taking Care of Business Days."
Students can sign up for any remedial (like Math 1 Readiness) or college-prep (like Math 1 CP) class for now. The result of the placement test will determine if the placement is correct or needs to be changed.
If your student is interested in honors math, they need to take the placement test to confirm placement at the honors level before they can sign up for that class.
Reminders! Deadline for all course requests, including changes, is March 16th, 2026, at 3:30 PM for all current and incoming students. Contracts must be signed by BOTH student and parent/guardian to finalize course requests.
In District Students: Annual residency verification–Submit documents via AERIES Parent Portal or submit documents to your current middle or high school
Out-of-District Students: Complete enrollment process
Turn in Course Selection Contract to the counseling office
Per SDUHSD board policy, if you do not complete the steps highlighted in the welcome letter by Monday, March 16, at 4:00 PM, your student’s position at SDA will be forfeited, and they will be enrolled at the boundary high school.
