Community College applications take place in the spring of Senior year. Go to the specific colleges' websites for details in terms of deadlines and application process. Students must be 18 years old or have a high school diploma to apply. Community Colleges do not require standardized tests such as the SAT/ACT/Subject Tests. Some colleges do require students to take an English and/or Math placement test(s). You'll want to check the website for the college you are applying to for more information.

Counselors are presenting the Senior Audit to all 12th graders on September 5th and 6th, 2024 in senior English classes and in the Mustang Commons for those who have English in the spring. This presentation will be shared with students and parents through the website, Weekly Newsletter, Google Classroom, and Counseling Calendar.
The Senior Audit includes information making sure all students meet high school graduation requirements, post-high school plans, resources on how to apply to college, getting letters of recommendation, financial aid, and more.
Carefully review the document to the left that lets you know the steps necessary to obtain a counselor letter of recommendation. Connect with your counselor in person to request a counselor letter of recommendation. Once they agree, complete the 1) FERPA: Permission to Release Educational Records and Information 2) Letter of Recommendation Survey. Send those two completed items and any additional necessary information to your counselor by the appropriate deadline.
It is important to note that counselors cannot send academic information (including transcripts or letters of recommendation) without a completed FERPA on file.
