Huma Jeddy

Principal

My name is Huma Jeddy and I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree from University of Madras, India and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University, Arizona. I am extremely honored to serve as principal of the Greater Lansing Islamic School. I have been a resident of East Lansing since 1998, I live here with my husband, and two sons, both of whom are alumni of GLIS.

I believe that all students can excel given a positive learning environment that welcomes exploration and enhances students’ confidence. An educator’s mission should be to make school enjoyable and exciting. If students look forward to attending school they will want to LEARN!

As a principal, I would like to foster an Islamic environment that aligns with our school’s vision where everyone is welcomed, respected, and trusted. Together we can make this happen, in sha’ Allah.
