Trivia: "Autumn Leaves" is a popular jazz song composed by Joseph Kosma in 1945, with the original lyrics written by Jacques Prévert ("Les Feuilles mortes"), and English lyrics by Johnny Mercer.
Kosma and Prévert collaborated in writing this piece for the 1946 French film Les Portes de la nuit. Roger Williams, a famous pianist, arranged a piano version of the piece and it became the number one song on US-billboard chart in 1955, as well as it being the first piano instrumental piece to reach number one.
"Autumn Leaves" has been covered by leading pop vocalists like Steve Conway, Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Doris Day, and Frank Sinatra.
