Scan to PDF

Scanning papers and workbooks to PDF (Portable Document Format) can be a very handy tool. Having documents in PDF format server archival purposes, cut down on paper usage, and are convenient to post for student access. See the ideas section after the directions for ways in which this technology has been used.

Caveat emptor - Our email system has limits on the size of attachments which are accepted, if you follow the directions and do not receive and email with attachment go back and scan/send a few papers at a time.

1. Load papers into copier as you normally would

2. Touch Image Send

3. Touch Global Address Search --> Type the first letter of your first name --> Touch Search --> Touch Your Name --> Touch To --> Jump to Step 6. If you prefer to enter your address manually Touch Address Entry

4. Touch E-mail then To:

5. Enter your email address then touch OK

6. Press Start/Scan button

The scanned items should arrive in your email within a few minutes with a PDF attachment, treat this the same as you would any other email attachment.
