Classwork/Homework - Tuesday, March 24

Post date: Mar 24, 2020 2:26:0 AM

I hope you are all completing assignments as they are assigned.  We are currently working hard to develop new ways in which you will be able to check in each day and submit work when required.   I will be in touch as soon as they are in place.  Have a good day!

1.  ELA -  Review "A Chair for My Mother" vocabulary words.  Complete the vocabulary sheet attached.  Do the two word study pages which review  the      r-controlled vowel sounds ar, or, ore, and oar.

2.  Phonics - Do page 167 in our Phonics book.  Sort the Long u words into the correct boxes.  The page is scanned and appears below.  You can print the page or make your own boxes on looseleaf to sort the words.

3.  Spelling - Write each of these words three times and use each in a sentence.

mule        music        pew        until        use

4.  Math - Today we will be learning some tricky math, but I know you can do it! You will be doing three digit subtraction in problems where you will have to regroup twice.  First watch this video and then do pages 314 and 315.

5.  Religion -  Think about how you should behave when you go to Mass and do the attached religion sheet.  Then review Chapter 16 and do the Chapter test on page 194.

6.  Science - Continue to work on the Scholastic Animal Studies unit on Spiders

Just For Fun:  I know that many of you enjoy the "Make a word" activity that we do in our phonics book, so here's a similar activity. On the attached sheets see how many words  you can make from the letters in the words "Happy Spring".

* A note about Spanish class from Mrs. Gaudiuso:    I UPDATED MY CLASS PAGE TO INCLUDE THE WORK FOR EACH CLASS. EACH CLASS HAS A PAGE UNDER "INSIDE OUR CLASSROOM". ALL ASSIGNMENTS ARE POSTED THERE. JUST GO UNDER THAT SUB CATEGORY AND FIND YOUR CLASS AND DO THE ASSIGNED WORK.
