The Park Counseling Staff maintains a college/scholarship Google classroom with updated scholarship listings. Students should sign up for the Classroom with join code: 5dzxqoq
There is a spreadsheet associated with the Google classroom, which lists all active scholarships
Spring FAFSA Help Events
Park is hosting three spring 2024 FAFSA completion/help events for seniors planning to attend college during the 2024 - 2025 school year. Park counselors, along with financial aid reps from Gateway, Parkside and Carthage College will be on hand to assist families. Please bring the following information for both the student & parent in order to complete the FAFSA:
Your Social Security number
Your Alien Registration number (if you're not a U.S. citizen)
Your federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned (Note: You may be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your FAFSA form using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool)
Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
An FSA ID to sign electronically.

When talking financial aid, what's the difference between loans, grants, scholarships, work-study and loan forgiveness? Here's a brief description of each to help you out:
Loans: money you have to pay back (the interest rate will vary depending on your lender)
Grants: free money that does NOT need to be repaid
Scholarships: free money based on merit or skill
Work-Study: work part-time to help pay for your tuition

College Goal Wisconsin is a statewide event held in the months of October and November in which financial aid professionals will be available at various locations across the country to help students and families with their FAFSA. There will be financial aid assistance available multiple dates in October 2020 and November 2020.
Students should also check with their employers and their parents/guardian's employers to see if they offer any scholarships.
