College Navigator

The University of Wisconsin - Parkside has a College Navigator, who is scheduled at Park High School every Tuesday morning.

The primary focus of the College Navigator’s role is to increase the college-going rates of underserved and first-generation students from our region by building partnerships with the local school districts and relevant community agencies to support prospective students and their families with the admissions process. The College Navigators will engage students in identified high schools; promoting educational and career opportunities and guiding them through the admissions process. The College Navigators will build relationships with high school counselors, attend college fairs, maintain follow-up contact with prospective students and their families, arrange campus visits and tours, offer student and parent/guardian workshops, and provide guidance related to financial aid and scholarships.
