Apprenticeships combine paid on-the-job training with classroom instruction to prepare workers for highly-skilled careers. Workers benefit from apprenticeships by receiving a skills-based education that prepares them for good-paying jobs.

Park High School and Gateway Technical College have a great partnership. There is a College Connections Counselor, Ms. Sam Brewington, who is at Park every other Tuesday, to meet with students who are interested in attending Gateway. Students can schedule an appointment with Ms. Brewington through their counselor. Ms. Brewington also does classroom presentations about transcripted credit opportunities and Start College Now at Gateway.
