Early warning poacher detection system via thermal image processing UAV drones.

The concept behind my solution to the poaching epidemic is to utilize thermal technology to create an entirely automated way of locating poachers before an animal has been killed. To achieve this with a limited budget, I plan on developing a mobile application capable of processing each frame of a thermal image and try determine the nature of the creature the system comes into contact with, Human or otherwise. Once this has been determined, further analysis will be explored to increase the impact and usefulness of the application. This further analysis includes animal locating and game counting in wildlife reserves. The image processing will be implemented to achieve the desired results from an aerial viewpoint. Therefore allowing the technology to be attached to a network of autonomous drones, ensuring that all areas of the specified piece of land are being monitored as often as possible.
