A Practical Comparison of Express, Ruby on Rails,
Laravel and Giraffe as Back Ends for Modern Web Applications

The purpose of this study is to explore the community and tooling surrounding each of these four frameworks. From this perspective one may more easily determine the ease of use and learning curve associated with using these frameworks and therefore their suitability for developers unfamiliar with their respective ecosystems.
