Wilderness Leadership & Outdoor Resources
General Overview
This program will prepare students for careers in the outdoor recreation and natural resources industries. Students will develop skills in white water rafting, canoeing, environmental ethics, wildlife habitat & behavior, navigation, recreational safety, "traceless" conservation practices, leadership and more. In addition, students will be exposed to various careers from Game Wardens and Maine Guides, to Foresters and Timber Harvesters. Students can work toward industry certification such as: Maine recreational safety, Registered Maine Guide licensure, environmental conservation endorsements, wilderness first aid, etc. Students will also be prepared to enter college degree programs like: natural resource recreation and tourism, outdoor recreation business administration, wildlife biology, forestry, outdoor education, parks-recreation and leisure facilities management, organizational leadership, and many more.
General Overview
Students use the latest technology to diagnose and repair automobile problems. Skills areas include automotive maintenance and light repair, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical, engine performance, and engine repair systems.

General Overview
Students develop the knowledge, skills, and applied learning experience to build a home and learn fine woodworking techniques. Students follow a nationally certified curriculum endorsed by CONTREN.

Intro to Criminal Justice - AM

Students will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare them for a career in the field of law enforcement or to continue their education in a variety of criminal justice or legal related programs.
CTE Academy

General Overview
The CTE Academy provides 10th grade students instruction and training intended to prepare them for enrollment in one of Mid-Maine Technical Center’s Certified Technical programs. Students develop a core of technical knowledge and skills through participation in a variety of applied learning experiences. CTE Academy is a 1.5 credit course.

General Overview
Students gain skills and knowledge of food preparation for a career in commercial or institutional food service. Students cook for and operate an on-site café and catering service.

Early Childhood Education

General Overview
Students learn to provide safe and healthy care and developmentally appropriate educational experiences to children under the age of five. Students assist in the operation of the Mid-Maine Technical Center’s Preschool.
This course prepares students for childcare careers and for continued education in early childhood education or related fields.

Residential Electricity - AM
Commercial Electricity - PM
General Overview
Students will receive technical instruction in electrical theory, wiring methods, National Electrical Code, conduit bending, grounding and bonding, motor controls, transformers, service entrance calculations, blueprint reading, fire alarm, communications, generators, and photovoltaic systems in residential, commercial and some industrial settings. All instruction will be presented with the NEC and safety emphasized.
The State of Maine required 576 hours of study will be covered and students are eligible to sit for the State of Maine Journeyman Electrician exam. After passing the exam and fulfilling the experience requirement, the student will be issued a Journeyman Electrician License.

General Overview
Students develop the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue careers in Emergency Services and Firefighting. The EMT Basic/Firefighting courses prepare students to take the State National Registry EMT Basic / Firefighter I and II written and practical exams.

Information Technology
IT Support Specialist - AM
Apple Technology/App Development - PM
Students learn how to build, upgrade, and service PC and Apple computers and set up and maintain a local area computer network. Students are also introduced to Robotics and Programming.
IT Support Specialist
General Overview
Curriculum encompasses the building and maintenance of personal computers. Students will learn how to assemble, upgrade, and install computer operating systems, perform preventive maintenance, and conduct diagnostic system tests. Emphasis shall be placed on learning how to troubleshoot computer hardware and software problems using diagnostic software and electronic test equipment. Students focus on acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to pass Certiport’s Internet Computing Core certification as well as CompTIA’s Strata certifications. These certifications are the foundation to a career in the Information Technology industry.
Apple Technician & App Development (ACMT)
General Overview
Curriculum focuses on the student's ability to perform basic troubleshooting and repair of both desktop and portable Macintosh systems, such as iMac, MacBook, and Macbook Pro. ACMT certification exams emphasize identifying and resolving common OS X problems, and using Apple Service and Support products to effectively repair Apple hardware. There is a secondary focus on basic networking concepts that includes both wired and wireless networking technologies. Another aspect of the Apple Tech program is to give students a basic understanding on how to develop Applications for both Apple and Android products.

Videography & Multimedia Journalism: - AM
Broadcasting & Multimedia Production: - PM
General Overview
Students produce short films, documentaries, marketing videos for area organizations, and news and sports journalism for a weekly online broadcast as they learn how to operate professional video cameras, editing software, and broadcast equipment. Their work is streamed live, watched on the web, screened in area movie theaters and in our partner schools.
Videography & Multimedia Journalism
Learn techniques to create video projects
Develop skills to write, shoot, and edit video productions
Learn video and audio production techniques for social media broadcast and the internet.
Broadcasting & Multimedia Production
Work with professional video cameras and digital audio equipment to produce multimedia productions that are streamed online or recorded and mixed for later distribution.
Students learn a variety of techniques for shooting and editing video as well as recording and mixing audio to produce independent and team-driven multimedia projects.
