Registration begins during the months of February and March each year.
Students are encouraged to schedule a meeting with their counselor should they have any questions regarding the scheduling process or to review learning experiences that would be most appropriate for them.
Students and parents are encouraged to access Powerschool to review the learning experiences that students have selected. The schedule is built based on the requests that students have made and the availability of courses and seminars; consequently, it is very important that students sign up for all of the learning experiences they wish to take and make any necessary changes prior to the schedule being built.
We will make every effort to provide students with a copy of their schedule for the coming year prior to the end of school. Often, because of the budget and scheduling process, students receive their schedules early in the summer.
Changes to the schedule will be permitted for legitimate educational reasons(all changes are subject to learning experience availability and administrative review)
MHS discourages changes based on teacher preference, study hall preference, or senior/junior privileges and any change is subject to administrative approval.
When possible, MHS aims to limit class size.
Note: MHS strongly discourages seniors from changing courses once they have applied to college. Colleges will evaluate a student’s application based on the senior year courses included in the application. Students will be admitted to college conditionally based upon successful completion of those classes.
