This webquest follows the itinerary for Huntsville School's 5th graders' trip to Washington, D.C. The museums are not included, since available pictures only show the buildings' exteriors, not the actual exhibits inside the museums.

Arlington National Cemetery
Arlington Cemetery has been set aside to honor those who have served our nation beginning with the Civil War and continuing through today. You may even witness a funeral occuring. As many as 24 funerals take place each day.
The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is guarded 24 hours a day every day. Throughout the day a special ceremony takes place when the guards change. During this time visitors stand in silence to show their respect to those who died in battles to protect our freedom.
