How do they spread their legs to get water? They spread their legs out slowly, so they can reach the water more easily.
What do newborn, baby giraffes do? When baby giraffes are born, they fall out of their mother and hit the ground. This helps them start breathing. They are on their feet within 15 minutes. Baby giraffes depend on their mother for at least one year, but they can stay with their mothers for up to 2 years.
How fast can giraffes run? Giraffes can run up to 30 (thirty) miles an hour.
Giraffes use their legs to swat other animals away from them--other animals are scared of giraffes when they do this, because if they were hit it could hurt them or kill them.
