Welcome to LCE department at PSD

 My mission is to facilitate positive family school relationships in collaboration with school administration and staff to implement a comprehensive parent and student engagement program to support students' social and academic success.  Family Liaisons work to enlist and engage all families to contribute to their school community, with a focus on culturally and linguistically diverse families.

Por este medio me presento y quedo a sus órdenes para lo que se les ofrezca. Yo soy hija de madre cubana y padre español, nacida en Aruba.  He vivido en el caribe, sudamérica, centroamérica, norteamérica, europa y hasta en Camboya.  Llevo en EEUU más de 35 años y en el ámbito educativo multicultural más de 12 años.  

Mi objetivo como enlace familiar es ayudar a fomentar un ambiente positivo, de bajo estrés, y que facilite el aprendizaje de todos los estudiantes. Para dar varios ejemplos, yo puedo apoyar a las familias con recursos en la comunidad, comunicación con el personal de la escuela, información sobre los eventos escolares o comunitarios, etc.  Soy su punto de contacto en la escuela para cualquier apoyo.

Dear parents:

By this means I introduce myself and remain at your service for whatever you might need. I am the daughter of a Cuban mother and a Spanish father, born in Aruba. I have lived in the Caribbean, South America, Central America, North America, Europe and even in Cambodia. I have been in the US for over 35 years and in the multicultural education field for over 12 years.

My goal as a family liaison is to help foster an environment that is positive, low stress, and conducive to learning for all students. To give several examples, I could support families with resources in the community, communication with school staff, information about school or community events, etc. I am your point of contact at the school for any support.
