When there is a need for substitute teacher in the auto classroom we use the system Teachers On Call, a Kelly Services® Company is a substitute staffing service that hires licensed teachers, paraprofessionals, tutors, and early child care staff. They partner with schools and centers in Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin to fulfill school needs for short and long term substitutes. If a substitute is in the room a lesson plan is laid out for them for in the classroom. At no time are students allowed to work in the shop with tools or equipment since substitutes don't hold the right training and liability as the normal instructors do. It be unsafe to have another teacher come in for a day or two and work with students in the shop.
