Gifted & Talented

Ohio Revised Code Section 3324.01

"Gifted" means students who perform or show potential for performing at remarkably high levels of accomplishment when compared to others of their age, experience, or environment and who are identified under division (A), (B), (C), or (D) of Section 3324.03 of the Revised Code.

Annual Gifted "Expert Expo"

Each year the district’s gifted students who participate in our Elementary Pullout Program come together to complete and display research projects they worked on for approximately six weeks prior. Families and educators spend time engaging students and providing feedback on their projects.

Arts in Stark SmArts Scholarship

For the past several years the district’s Visual Arts program has been awarded a scholarship from Arts in Stark. This past May our talented arts students had the opportunity to take a field trip to the Akron Museum to view Keith Haring's Pop Art. Students then had the opportunity to engage in a hands-on project, creating pillows depicting Keith Haring's images.
