Students in Grades 3-4 who are identified gifted and meet specific criteria (listed below) are served in a gifted pullout classroom (80 minutes per subject). These qualifying students are pulled out of their general education classroom during core instruction to receive instruction by a Gifted Intervention Specialist (GIS).
We have three options for qualifying for our Elementary Pullout program:
Option #1 - Subject-Specific ID (e.g., Reading ID = Reading Pullout)
Option #2 - Superior Cognitive ID and Subject Specific Nationally Normed Score 70th percentile+
Option #3 - No Gifted ID, but Cognitive Score of 115+ and Subject Specific Nationally Normed Score 85th percentile+
