Students in Grades 2-4 who are identified superior cognitive (IQ) AND identified with a specific academic ability (reading and/or math) are served in a multi-age self contained classroom (140-160 minutes per day). Qualifying students are clustered for core instruction in both reading and mathematics. They are transported (if necessary) to one of our two locations (Lohr Elementary or Whipple Heights Elementary) and receive instruction by a Gifted Intervention Specialist (GIS).
Our Gifted Intervention Specialists (GISs) are Mrs. Stacy Adams (Knapp) & Mrs. Amy Hixenbaugh (Whipple Heights Elementary).
