Students in Grades 2-4 who are identified gifted and meet specific criteria (listed below) are served in a multi-age self contained classroom (140-160 minutes per day). Qualifying students are pulled out of core instruction and serviced in both reading and mathematics and receive instruction by a Gifted Intervention Specialist (GIS).
We have four options for qualifying for our Elementary Pullout program:
Option #1 - Superior Cognitive Identification
Option #2 - Single Specific Academic Identification (Reading or Math) and Cognitive Score 120+
Option #3 - Dual Specific Academic Identifications Reading and Math
Option #4 - Single Specific Academic Identification (Reading or Math) with other subject 75%+ and Cognitive Score 115+
For Fourth Grade we have one additional option:
Option #5 - Single Gifted Identification and both 3rd Grade Ohio State Test (OST) Scores in the Advanced Range.
