The sophomore curriculum will incorporate lifting 2 times per week. For the most part the weight program will be designed to meet the needs of each student whether they are in competitive dance, a member of the football team, or not at all engaged in physical activity. Individual programs are created to allow opportunity for each student to reach their goals and get stronger. Frequency and intensity will be adjusted relative to the students competitive and practice schedules. We will also utilize this time for any rehabilitation the student may have when lifting prevents them from participating.
Warm-up will consist of core exercises.
Static stretching on your own will be done at completion of weights.
Assessment - Push-ups, Sit-ups in 1 minute, weight room max increases, goals reached
