Freshman Physical Education will meet everyday for one semester. The class curriculum contains a variety of team and individual activities as well as aerobic/circuit training and weight training. Our focus is to improve your current levels of personal fitness and provide you with the knowledge and know how to continue living a healthy lifestyle through our daily activities.
- Weight Lifting----------------approximately 28 days
- Fitness Testing----------------approximately 6 days
- Flag Football----------------- approximately 6 days
- Ultimate Frisbee--------------approximately 5 days
- Badminton---------------------approximately 4 days
- Team Handball---------------approximately 5 days
- Volleyball---------------------approximately 6 days
- Pickleball----------------------approximately 5 days
- 2-Pitch Softball--------------- approximately 6 days
- Weight Lifting----------------------2 days per week
- Aerobic/Conditioning-------------1 day per week
- Team/Individual Activities-------2 days per week
- Weight Lifting.....Weight lifting days will consist of a light warm up including dynamic and static stretching
followed by individual lifting routines. A daily log will be recorded and submitted for grading.
- Aerobic.... Aerobic days will consist of a light warm up and stretching followed by designated aerobic workout
for the day. Most aerobic days will consist of students wearing a heart rate monitor. Examples of
aerobic activities are the 8-12 min run, aerobic stations, or aerobic games. Grading will be assessed
by teacher observation along with results from the heart rate monitor readout.
- Activity Days.....Activity days will consist of a given number of days of the activities listed above.
Each day will consist of a light warm up including dynamic and static stretching along with
core body workouts. Grading will be assessed by teacher observation or the use of polar heart
rate monitors.
