E. Serve must be diagonal and clear the 7-ft non volley zone.
F. If the ball hits the net and still goes over and clears the 7 ft line it is a let and you get a second serve. If it does not clear the 7 foot line it is a fault.
2. Receiving
A. The ball must bounce once on each side, past the 7 ft line, before it can be volleyed in a rally.
B. After the ball has bounced once on each side at the start of a rally it can then be hit directly out of the air.
3, Loss of Possession Results from:
A. Hitting the ball out of bounds. (line is in)
B. Not following the one bounce rule.
C. Hitting the net with body or racket during play.
D. While serving the ball does not clear the net.
E. While serving having a double let. (A Let is a serve that touches the net but still lands correctly in opponents court)
4. Doubles
A. At the beginning of each game the team serving first is only allowed one server. From there on out both people serve for each team.
B. After each point is scored the serving team alternates court sides until the receiving team gain possession.
C. The serving team is usually back at the baseline due to the double bounce rule.
D. The serving team is not allowed to charge the net on the opponents return because they must let it bounce once first on their own side of the court.
