Grade 5

TThe elementary art education program (grades 4-6) at NRCSD builds a foundation for developing the knowledge, skills, and processes for visual literacy and creative expression. Art concepts are introduced, reinforced and strengthened through art activities that include the Visual Elements in Art and the Eight Studio Habits of Mind.  Students communicate their ideas, opinions and feelings through the exploration these concepts along with the use of a variety of media (drawing, painting, collage, clay, mixed media, written word, discussions).
