About Mrs. Krantz:

Mrs. Marissa Krantz has been teaching at the High Rock School since 2012. She began her career in Needham has a part time sixth grade art teacher and through opportunities provided by the NEF and the district she has expanded her role to include arts integration. She has collaborated with teachers in a variety of subject areas to provide students with multimodal learning experiences that promote creative problem solving.

Before joining the Needham public schools, Mrs. Krantz worked in the Dover-Sherborn public schools as a middle school art educator and in Westwood, Massachusetts as a special education assistant. As an undergrad, she attended Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan and has earned a Masters of Art Education from Boston University.

As an artist, Mrs. Krantz appreciates and enjoys all mediums, but the majority of her personal work is either drawing or relief printmaking. She also enjoys creating handmade jewelry and dabbling in the culinary arts.
