Procedures For Teachers Regarding Leave (For Compliance)
(Refer to TOR from HR ONLINE: http://intranet.moe.gov.sg/hronline/EO/BenefitsandWelfare/Leave/SitePages/Leave.aspx)
Medical Leave/Child-Care Leave/Parent Care Leave
The teacher is to send a SMS text to at least two Relief Team members, General Office, Reporting Officer and Level Manager by 06 30 due to medical reasons or urgent matters. Do inform the necessary personnel at least 2 days before the actual day if absence from school is known in advance (e.g. courses, medical appointment). It is a good practice to arrange for a mutual swap with other subject teachers whenever possible to minimize deployment of relief duties.
For the SMS message to the necessary personnel, include name, number of days absent and reason for absence. The teacher must ensure that an acknowledgement message is replied by the Relief Team. For assignment of work to pupils and other staff, please inform buddy / Level Manager / Assistant Year Head to support assignments for the pupils if necessary.
