Microwave (MW) enhanced intensified reactors can help to achieve high conversion, selectivity and much benign operating conditions. However, MW interaction for reactive systems is currently not well understood. We are developing multi-scale, high-fidelity models of MW-assisted reactors for better understanding of the complex phenomena in these reactors
Plant-wide optimization and techno-economic analysis for different contactor technologies are being carried out for improving the economics of these novel technologies
Current focus is on shale gas utilization and ammonia production processes
