7th Grade Spanish
In seventh grade, Spanish is a core content class that is closely linked to the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework. Students will participate in authentic exchanges of information in the target language. Students will practice the receptive language skills of listening and reading. They will also apply the productive language skills of speaking and writing. Spanish students should be able to communicate in the language using writing, speaking, listening and reading skills. They work to gain knowledge and understanding of another culture as well as having a brief conversation in Spanish.

7th Grade French
In seventh grade, French is a core content class which aligns with the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework. In the classroom, the first and primary goal is communication in the target language. Students are introduced to the language through reading and listening activities, and they practice the skills of writing and speaking at an appropriate level. In addition, French students work to gain knowledge and understanding of other cultures, to connect with other disciplines, and to develop insight into our own language and culture.
