• Explanation: In Lecture 22 (the previous "topics page"), three theories on bonding in coordination complexes, Valence Bond Theory (VBT), Crystal Field Theory (CFT), and Ligand Field Theory (LFT) were briefly introduced. The coordination chemistry II section begins at minute 38:30.

• Explanation: After a brief discussion of VBT and CFT, Lecture 23 focuses on the Ligand Field Theory approach to bonding in octahedral coordination complexes. The molecular orbital diagram for octahedral ML6 complexes is presented in some detail.
