Dry Cleaning
Dry Cleaning is a cleaning process for garments that doesn't involve water. The process involves a cleaning solvent instead of water, so it actually isn't dry! People dry clean garments that are too delicate to be washed with water, and that they don't want to fade.
Upon reaching the dry cleaning facility, clothes are inspected and any marked stains are pre-treated with a cleaning solution. All dry cleaning clothes are then placed into a large machine where they are cleaned and dried. After drying the clothes are hand ironed and inspected before being wrapped in plastic and delivered back to the store.
Launder and Press
Launder and Pressing shirts is a process typically reserved for men's dress shirts. They are laundered in a washing machine, similar to what you would do at home, then pressed using a specialized shirt press machine.
Starch
Starch is a substance sprayed on a shirt before it is pressed. The more starch, the crispier the shirt will be. Typically fancier shirts, especially those that will be worn with suits or white shirts, are starched.
