Science Process Skills and Method

When we interact with the world and each other we often find ourselves observing, questioning, hypothesizing, predicting, investigating, interpreting, and communicating.  In Science these skills are referred to as the Science Process Skills and essential to helping students develop their scientific ideas.  Because these skills act as a foundation for inquiry and critical thinking it makes sense to start the year out exploring these topics.  By conducting investigations using the Scientific Method, engaging in conversations about our thinking, and making connections across the curriculum and to real-life we will create a solid base to start this year of Science.
