Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities (CEO) is entrepreneurship education that seeks to prepare students to be responsible enterprising individuals who become entrepreneurs or entrepreneurial thinkers and contribute to economic development and sustainable communities. 

Course Description

The local business community partners with area schools to create project-based experiences for students. Students visit area businesses, learn from guest speakers, participate in a class business, write business plans, and start and operate their own business. 

Business concepts learned through the experiential CEO class include 21-century skills of

• Responsibility

• Higher-order Thinking

• Communication

• Inquiry

Additional Course Information

• Students are required to submit an application. Student can find the application here

• Students must provide their own transportation as the class is conducted off-site.

• Students will have the opportunity to earn 6 hours of college credit through Heartland Community College.
