Scholarships

WHERE DO I START?  That is a frequent question asked by students and parents. We recommend start by looking at what the college/university has to offer to their studednts.(Check their official websites). Next check within "your bubble"  as to scholarships that may be offered w/ programs you are your family members are a part of (employers, services(insurance, utilities, banks, etc.), organizations(4H, KC's, Lion's Club, church, etc.) Thirdly, look for other scholarships through our websites or other large scholarship search sites.  Below you will find a spreadsheet of all scholarships that have been shared with us or we have found.

AHS Scholarship List 21-22

Important Reminders:

Scholarships are the responsibility of students and their parents.   We strive to assist in whatever way we can.  The days of a multitude of scholarship applications coming directly to the counselor are gone.  While some still come to our office, many more are available online.   Several Websites to assist are posted below.  The spreadsheet above is those that have been have come to our attention.    Several Louisiana based scholarships will be posted in the senior class Google Classroom periodically.

(This will continue to be updated as the year goes on, so keep checking!)

TOPS or TOPS Tech

Students should create their "Student Hub Account" to check your TOPS award eligibility. LOSFA recommends doing so by February 1 so any errors can be corrected before Award Amounts are posted in June.
