Measurable Skill Gains

State and Local Performance - Measurable Skill Gains

The State and Local Performance (SPR) Measurable Skill Gains search returns students based on the definition found on page E-8 of the NRS Technical Assistance Guide:  "For performance accountability purposes, the measurable skill gains indicator calculates the number of participants who attain at least one type of gain. However, this report is designed to examine the number of total gains within each type of gain."

Students count on the SPR Measurable Skill Gains search on the row for each MSG that they attained during the reporting year. This is different from how MSGs are reported on Table 4A student cannot count for an EFL Gain AND the attainment of an SSD AND an IETP/Workplace Literacy MSG. While a student may make the MSGs,  only the most recent MSG counts on Table 4.

 For example, Student A:

The EFL Gain made by pre and post testing was the most recent MSG by date, so the student counts on Table 4 in column E.  The same student would count on each row of the SPR Measurable Skill Gains search.
